Solvang is such an interesting town to stop by when on the road because of the unqiue experience the town offers. I found Solvang earlier in 2024 when I was on my way home from a 2 week Airstream adventure and this was a great place to end my trip! Now, I just recently visited Solvang again with my best friend as a vacation for her before starting her last year of law school and fell in love with the city all over again. As for camping, both times I booked a reservation for my Airstream at Cachuma Lake Campground. It offers full and partial hook-up, but most RV sites are partial (there are a few full-hook up sites if you get lucky). Below are a few other RV campgrounds you could stay at in the area.

These thin, crepe-like pancakes are served with a variety of toppings, including fresh berries, bananas, and whipped cream. For those craving something more savory, Paula’s also offers traditional American breakfast options like eggs, bacon, and hash browns. The cozy, welcoming atmosphere and generous portions make it a must-visit for breakfast lovers.
Located in the heart of the village, The Solvang Restaurant is famous for its Æbleskiver, a traditional Danish pastry that’s fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Typically served with powdered sugar and raspberry jam, these spherical treats are a delightful way to start your morning. In addition to Æbleskiver, the restaurant offers a full breakfast menu, including omelets, waffles, and Danish sausage. The charming décor and friendly service add to the overall experience.
If you prefer a lighter breakfast or a quick grab-and-go option, Olsen’s Danish Village Bakery is the place to be. This bakery offers an array of freshly baked Danish pastries, including butter rings, kringles, and cinnamon rolls. Pair your pastry with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, and enjoy it in the bakery’s cozy seating area or while strolling through the scenic streets of Solvang.
If you are looking for a healthier breakfast with less butter and grease, head to Brekkies--they are so good. I went here back-to-back mornings and got the same thing (gluten-free waffles and a glute-free protein bowl). What is even better about this breakfast place in Solvang is that there are grapes hanging from the entryway and customers and eat them!
